Holmer's Headlines March 2021 and reopening news

Hello and welcome to this edition of Holmer’s Headlines. I hope you are keeping well and looking forward to the day we are able to reopen.

Firstly, I wanted to update you on where it appears we will be when we are able to reopen, according to the guidance set by the government

From the 12th April

  • The gym will open
  • The swimming pool and spa pools will open
  • Group fitness will be online via our online portal https://www.holmerpark.co.uk/login/
  • You should arrive at the club exercise ready and avoid using the changing rooms however they will be open, for example, for anyone who needs to shower after their swim or for those with disabilities or special needs
  • The Spa will open for treatments
  • The Orchard Café will be open for takeaway only at reduced hours

From no earlier than the 17th May

  • The Sauna and Steam Rooms will open
  • Group fitness classes in club will start
  • The lounge will open and we will review the Orchard Café opening hours

From no earlier than the 21st June

  • We hope so much that we are able to have our summer BBQ and start planning our hugely popular “Merry Members Christmas Party”!

Over the next week or so we will be publishing our own visual “road map” online which I would ask you to check as the above is obviously subject to change.

With regards to membership payments we committed to ensuring you were never out of pocket because of the need to close the club. Therefore I can confirm that if you pay by Direct Debit no payment will be collected from you whilst we remain closed. We will write to you to confirm details of the first collection once we reopen.

If you pay in full we will simply add the period of closure on to your membership.

I can also confirm that although that this period has been financially very difficult for us we have no intention of reviewing our membership fees this calendar year.

If you would like to speak to us about membership please email [email protected] so we can handle your enquiry efficiently as the membership team will not be on site every day until we reopen fully.

For at least the next 2 weeks Harriet, Helen, Kath, Kat and Grace will be taking phone calls at the club. They are able to answer some club queries and just have catch up with you if you like! They can also advance book (from the 12th April) those long awaited spa treatments for you including massages, facials, nail and waxing treatments and don’t forget you are still able to take advantage for your member 25% discount, Monday- Friday.

Being part of Herefordshire is something that we and Mosaic are really proud of. You may have read in my last edition that our MD, Dave Courteen, has been appointed as chair of the Marches Growth Hub https://www.holmerpark.co.uk/news/view/holmer-park-md-given-key-business-role-in-the-county/. We want to do all we can to share opportunities in Hereford and we recently posted a post on our Facebook page encouraging people to share their business. In other news I am excited to say that we are in the process of upgrading our membership software. We will be in touch with you separately about this major step forward for our club which will ultimately allow us to deliver a better service to you.

Planned maintenance of our club continues and we are currently working with Badham & Sons Builders replacing 2 flat roofs and with E&P Developments on upgrading some of the electrical plant at the club.

Finally it goes without saying that the team and I really appreciate you as a member of the Holmer Park family and that we are counting down the days until we can see you again!
