Here's how to create your ultimate recovery day with us...

Start Slow...

When you arrive at Holmer Park, leave the outside world behind. Take a few minutes to settle in, breathe deeply, and give yourself permission to fully switch off. Remember - you've carved out time for yourself, now it's time to make the most of it!

Bonus tip: if you're looking to fully switch off from the outside world, don't forget to turn your phone onto silent for a few hours too. You'll be amazed at how much more you can relax when you're not on alert for notifications!

Warm Up Your Muscles

Begin your recovery with a visit to our poolside Thermal Suite, claimed by some to be the heart of relaxation at Holmer Park. The wonderful combination of heat, steam, and hydrotherapy soothes sore muscles, supports circulation, and helps detox the body. Perfect if you've been working out, but equally enjoyable if you're just here to unwind!

Try this order:

  • Sauna then Steam Room to open pores and ease any muscle tension you have.
  • Ice Fountain to invigorate the skin, awaken the senses, and balance heat exposure with a (very!) refreshing cool-down.
  • Foot Spas to gently soothe tired feet and improve circulation.
  • Bubbling Spa Pool for weightless joint relief and deep relaxation.
  • Experience Shower to awaken the senses and boost circulation.

Option 1: Move Gently (If It Feels Right)

If you're in the mood for movement, keep it gentle. It is a recovery day after all! But recovery doesn't mean inactivity, it means being kind to your body. A light swim in the indoor pool, or some peaceful stretching in the studio, can help ease stiffness and promote circulation while being gentle on the joints.

Want to take it up a notch though? Try a low-impact class like yoga or Pilates to reconnect with your body in a mindful way. Remember to book online ahead as these classes can be very popular.

Option 2: Enjoy a Spa Treatment

Plus, booking a treatment after time in our Thermal Suite ensures the heat therapy has relaxed your muscles, reducing some of the tension in your muscles already.

Next, it's time to head to The Orchard Café to nourish your body from the inside out. Opt for fresh, wholesome meals that support recovery: think lean proteins, hearty salads, herbal teas, and refreshing smoothies. Equally, some times cake or delicious treats can be healing for the soul so, no judgement from us - pick whichever best suits your purpose.

Hydration is key though, after sweating and soaking in our
Thermal Suite (and some lymph draining if you opted for a massage), your body will thank you for replenishing minerals!

Rest, Lounge, Repeat
